Astronomy didactic activities
We want to teach not only about astronomy in Colombia but also about astronomy in general. We give you pedagogical resources for children and young people to learn about topics such as:
- Solar System
- Stellar birth (exoplanets)
- Night sky from your school
- Exoplanets and atmospheres
- Galaxies and expansion of the Universe
- How would we introduce aliens to where we live?

Game: Astronomical Connections
Students must create and explain connections between different astronomy concepts listed in the glossary. The game is designed to foster understanding and the ability to relate key astronomical terms. The idea is to be dynamic and fast-paced in its second phase, to keep students' attention.

Solar System to scale distances and sizes
In this activity, we will visualize the size of the solar system using a scale that represents Colombia, locating each *planet on it. In addition, we will appreciate the size of the planets to scale.

Local night sky: Know and identify your sky
A sky chart is a tool used by astronomers and amateurs to identify and locate stars, nebulae, clusters, and other celestial deep sky objects in the firmament among the constellations. It consists of a map of the sky showing the arrangement of stars and other celestial objects on a given date. In Colombia we are fortunate to have both celestial hemispheres visible.

Stellar Birth and Death: Nebula in a Jar
Nebulae are regions of the interstellar medium made up of gases and cosmic dust. These nebulae are very important because many of them are the places where stars are born, in other occasions, they are the remains of stars already extinct or in the process of extinction. We are going to exemplify what a nebula is and its importance in astronomy, as the home of stars. In addition, it can remain as a decoration for the future.

Galaxies and Cosmology: Discovering Our Cosmos
In this activity we will learn about the origin of the universe and how we know that it is expanding thanks to the observations of galaxies that astronomers have made in the last century. We will learn about the classification of the different types of galaxies. In addition, we will explain what a black hole is, since most galaxies manage to harbor one in their nucleus. Finally, we will explain the importance of studying galaxies to understand the expansion and origin of our universe.

Atmospheres of other planets: Take care of your surroundings.
Our planet Earth needed certain conditions for life to exist, as we know it today. Some of these conditions are: to be at the right distance from the sun, to have a satellite, to have an atmosphere and a significant magnetic field. All these characteristics are necessary for life. In this activity we are going to focus on understanding how the atmospheres of exoplanets are studied to know what their composition is.
